Ive just finished this build for the third time. Its a 1985 Proclass 24

The bike has been painted to replicate the black chrome finish from the 80s. The decals are replicas of the catalogue bike and were supplied by bmx products in Austrailia and it was actually their idea to use them on this build. It was actually finished yesterday.

Thanks for looking

In between life, work and prostrate examinations (don’t ask) getting in way of the real things that matter like getting my mid-eighties freestyle collection complete I’ve had the time to get this finished. I’ve not polished a thing, its all survivor or nos. I didn’t do anything special so haven’t completed a build thread, so here’s the spec, albeit the pictures inform those in the know:

1985 VDC Freestyler frame and fork with og chrome and new decals – last generation model.
VDC Freestyle bars with og chrome and og decals (grip tape to topside of crossbar)
DK Stem with ACS Potts Mod
Dia-compe Nippon 883s in og finish (dated 11 85)
Front caliper with recessed DC front caliper bolt
Dia-compe tech 4 chrome levers (dated 04 84)
Dia-compe brake blocks
Dia-compe brake cables (stamped/dated Feb 84) with DC inners and ferrules
Hutch og chrome stamped seat clamp with og bolt
Hutch Pro pedals with freestyle cages and pedal crusher protectors
80s layback og chrome 4130 chromoly seat post (cut down and reversed so handlebar ends and seat nose in holding distance – this frame has a loooonggg top tube and very laid back seat post angle)
80s Kashimax Aero seat with KSM allen key guts
HP48 Super Pros in og chrome
Peregrine 80s HP-48s 100psi freestlye tyres
Redline single bolt full wrap 180 flight cranks (rechromed)
Redline 43t chainwheel
Tange Seiki Sealed bottom bracket
Tange Falcon headset
DID chain
Am’e Dual grips

I need to get some more grip tape around the front and rear standers and will do before MK19. Or MK20 pending life!

When I was born, the world was a far simpler place.
It was all just cops and robbers.
And BMX.

Have a go in this , still messing around with it but it's rideable  at the moment . Will change the rear hub to a Sturmey brake and shave off the seat clamp and rear brake tabs soon enough .....

2014  24" Haro Master
og Vector bars
ACS levers
SM ODI grips
 ACS rotor smoothed
ACS z rims  with Shimano  disc hub front / coaster rear
Haro fluted post
Shotgun seat
Redline crank with Haro disc & ring
MKS graphite pedals

Headset mashed around a little for old school set up

Always been pretty crap with a camera .......
