SE MINI RIPPER PROJECT - NOW COMPLETE

HELLO ALL

Started to restore my looptail Mini Ripper (Jnr Pro) now. Here's progress so far . . . . . .

Original paint stripped, prepared frame and highly polished

ps i have new skinny side pull caliper in black, for 1.1/8ths
-these you get in the box when u buy a new mini

-i hope to get one of these frames soon, did they do them any smaller?
-i have a nice set of plain alloy bullseye hubbed sun rims for mine, and some alloy crupi bars/mini dk stem-black baby uni :)

-its a mini lever - not so old school
both items are unused
-the brake bolt though is long - ie for front forks
-and i used all the tiddlers on mine
both 15 quid -posted
ps get the head and seat tube decals .ai-illustrator files , and i can do them

-PLUS -i have some 170 shimano 3 piece cranks in raw silver alloy -look nice on that
-had some 2 piece bullseye cranks too-sold them for 20 quid at bournemouth :D

Hi Lazychubs,

The Mini will look awesome next to your Ripper. I saw your resto job and you've done a cracking job. I admire the seat post repair. True craftsmanship !!!

I am on the look out for a Ripper and that will be my next project. Wife permitting that is  ;D

i was after graemes mini but couldnt sell me bikes and stuff quick enuf
so settled on a db turbo lite for now lol
and my missus doesnt know its coming lol
cant wait to see it finished tho
looks good polished up very  8)

Steve has a 170mm Shimano crank set for sale. (see earlier message)

Might be worth asking him for a price

i will have -once i have bought some sew ups from cheddar-or at least got them
a pair of new school 1 and 1 eigth rims tyres and tubes
-aero araya looking thins -one bicycle makes em=these rims are too tall for the teeny tiny
-plus the 170 cranks -euro bb -plus beartrapps-too long for him

ps i really need an old school 'micro mini, as his sister has the robinson
-did se ever do a micro or mini, rather than a junior?

Nice mini ripper mate,how wide are the bars ,any chance of a pic from the front,would they be any good for 24" cruiser.Are they easy to find etc :) ;)

The bars are Radix junior bars which are only 22" wide with a 4" rise. I reckon they would be too small for your cruiser
