anyone ever built a bmx frame from scratch?

i have often thought of doing this.

or modding an existing frame substantially. if i ever get hold of a TA frame i got some plans.

a mate of mine made one for a collage project in titanium,really nice looking frame,he called it  ricky tickey tirvey,i think it was after something from jungle book who ate mongooses :idiot2:

i'd weld ad lugs on it for a start

your not alone mate ive got drawing's of stuff i want to make 'and ive got a mate who is a master welder'so one day ill build one and a sidehack  :daumenhoch: I really want to build a 26inch bmx like the om flyer etc 'so i could use it for work and comuting  :daumenhoch: build it old school with U.S bb and a 1inch head tube  :smitten: one day ill do it  :daumenhoch:

Me and my dad repaired my ACE frame by replacing the front triangle, I extended the front end by 2". The best bit was the tubing I used I nicked from some old school desks. It rode reasonable well, but the metal sadly lacked the qualities of cro mo and I snapped it 3 months later..... :-[

  I read the book at school... Rudyard Kipling i think.... He makes exceedingly stiff cakes too... apparently  ::)

no thanks mate i dont think it will be for awhile as too busy at the mo and ive got a set of 1/18 threaded project 2's ill use 'but thanks for the thought   :daumenhoch:

how hard can it be???? could you not get some china factory to reproduce Pro Class frames  :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ after all they arn't made anymore ??? ???

i was looking into buying frames from taiwan but it cost allot as would have to buy in bulk  :'(
