Who's cheapest for Tuff 2's??
« on: February 07, 2007, 12:28 PM »
Wanted soon when i get my frame etc back from chroming.
Move this if you want, wasn't sure where to post...

The cheapest I can find white tuffs is in ginnys, Dans an Tuffcolored.
Dans is cheapest at £65 posted, does no one in UK do a decent price or anyone cheaper in US?

Cheers

Biagio's are £85, more expensive but don't need to worry about customs and post office charges!

I bought a present for my missus @ christmas from the states, was £43.  Got a letter before it arrived telling me the post office had it and had paid the £6ish customs charge.  Oh and by the way you owe us £13.50 handling fee !!

Pushed the final price to £62.50.  Got the package and it contents were damaged, then had the headache of trying to resolve, which I couldn't without paying more postage and more handling fees !!!

You may be lucky and they end up on your doorstep with no charges.  If you do get charged and they are funked, you got a real pain in the ar5e on your hands!!

I'm not saying don't order, I get alot from the states, its just not always that cost effective!

Just my Tuppence!!  :daumenhoch:

I got a set from VertEgo and they were about 85 - 90.

I then got a set of limited edition light blue ones from coloured tuffs. They were fine but I got stung for customs charges and a handling fee from the post ofice. They ended up costing me about 130 in the end.

I know where I'll be getting them from in the future.  :daumenhoch:

I think its down to what they write on the customs slip and how much value they say it has. like Login-user says, if they put the value down as high then you seem to get stung >:(

I normally get the supplier to write that its $50 used bike parts that way you dont get stung.

Check that the Tuffs at Dans are sealed hubs... I think all skyways now are sealed hub... Old unsealed stock is being sold off cheap.  ;)
