SX are slightly smaller than the DX and much easier to get hold of  :'(

DX are much smoother and have removable pins so when they wear, you replace em.

But to be honest, get what you can afford!

The closest thing you'll get to genuine Shimano DX is the Victor pedal. Basically identical to yer legendary DX, but with weaker axles I'm told.  Cheap as chips if you can find 'em.  :)

theres some wellgo dx with replacable pins in blue ( shimano lookalike ), i think there about £15..
sx are terrible, there very slippery & the studs wear off quickly, dangerous if your using them for freestyle & they bend, so if your not a child anymore buy something different

So, whay are haro fusion DX style pedals bad ?

I'm worried sx will be too small so think these would be the best choice

Wellllll.........

Rightly or wrongly Fusion stuff has the reputation of being C R A P...  Especially the mid school stuff.  Personally, I have no bad experiences with the little bit of Fusion gear I've used so its really up to you  ;)

Thing is, you really can't go wrong with Shimano so the SX pedal is going to be reliable, no matter what.  They are a bit small though, if I were you I'd try and find the following;

GT DX  (midschool)
Victor DX  (current I think)
Clover DX ( ditto)

They're all half decent cheap pedals all being virtually identical to Shimano DX. One of those companies actually now owns the orginal DX mould apparently.  I just can't remember which one...  :-[

Oh yeah,  one last thing - have you checked out the brand new Shimano DX pedal?  It's a good looking thing and not half bad under your foot. Worth a look  ;)

i dont know who told you the haro fusion pedals are bad, the ones with the pins are super grippy & strong, i weigh 12st & im not as smooth as i used to be & ive had no trouble with them, ive snapped primo tenderisers ( so has everyone else on the park ), ive bent sx's the first day i got them, best pedals for me so far have been dmr's as they lasted the longest
