progression....
« on: May 18, 2007, 12:57 AM »
That latest post from Rob, with the Billy video, made me wonder.

Apart from the young-uns that are beyond belief, Billy, Rhys and joe on a local scale.

Progression?

Who from your friends, in the time you have been back in the game are making the most headroads?

On the ramps Billy for sure needs a big up, he's like a kid without a fear that is only equalled by Pat, mental the pair.

Paul Superfly, who i saw on his first time back and to see him now is a different person with natural grace.

Neil Region11 rocks on the track.

DirtyVans needs no comment...

And meddle has gone from being a stumbling tryer to a fearless flyer....

There are so many more to mention, like Sandro who'd come a long way from his early days before he stopped.

these guys are all my local hero's......

So who's yours?

Muttley for me.  I've only known him a short time, but in that time he had progressed amazingly....  He has also taken more than his fair share of slams, but keeps on getting up and carrying on until he gets it sorted..... Amazing what he can achieve once he's had his can of Relentless...

Wow, thanks Bob.

For me it has to be SuperFly, his riding and atitude to riding is awesome and an inspiration, he just keeps trying.

Recently both Trev and Muttley have had a progression spurt (like a growth spurt) which is good to see happen as it builds their confidence to try something else.

Track-wise it is Zippy, his speed and commitment have increased despite the injuries.

It's gotta be Billy Stupps for me - the progression over the past 18 months has been awesome and mighty entertaining. Oh, and also Mark Likely (keyhole kid) - he's back as good as he ever was and oh so smooth!!!!

I like what Jim and Flaz are doing these days. They're getting on with it nicely.

Meddle is only progressing because he knows he has me to answer to if he doesn't   :knuppel2:

Trev needs a rocket up him   ;D

Muttley has more skills than he himself realises, it'll all be about confidence with him I reckon.

But for me the biggest and best progressor is SuperFLY.  He was riding fast and smooth the other night at Charlton and is now really only one nosepick away from greatness   :daumenhoch:

I'm learning how to crash from the master. ;)

I hope he washes his hands after. :buck2:

Surprisingly non-achey, no bruising, just some scrapes on the shoulder and elbow.  Can't say that I'm overly surprised at how you're feeling though.

Next week I expect to see  Smithstall drop in, over volcano to disaster, over volcano to pegstall   ;)   Jobs a good un.

Maybe toward the end of the session, I've got a car job on first thing.  Might ride the afternoon if you fancy hanging around?

i think that me, meddle & muttley have got to learn to stand up to the bmxing bully known as twobobrob.....  next week we're all gonna gang up on you and make you pull a blunt....

only joking fella....  you're help and advice has proved invaluable to all of us and I'm not just talking about us novices.  Superfly Paul has also benifited from your shouting...  ;D

Anyone who's back on the learning curve of riding, I totally recommend giving a Charlton sesh a go.  With Rob and Paul guiding us, it has got to be the best place for progression...

i may be back into riding now, but i'm still a drinker too.... friday night is a drinking night....

although last night i went out with a few senior managers who i use to work with.... it's always good to keep in touch with influential people, you never know when the next great job offer will come along. that's how i got the job i'm in now, so i'm sticking to the formula...
