Re-chroming
« on: November 14, 2005, 12:57 PM »
Hi folks,

Just joined this great site, and my first post is for help  ;)

I've got a few old school bikes, 3 of which need stripping, and 2 of those need re-chroming. Can anyone recommend someone for this job who's in the Hants/Surrey area, as I'd prefer to drop them off and collect, rather than post.

Any help/advice greatly appreciated.

Guy (gmac)  :)

Spoke to a feller from Hounslow today, and he's gonna do some stuff for me. He quoted about £50 for a frame, which seems pretty good. I'm just waiting on one frame set to arrive and I'll be giving him a few bits. If anyone wants to jump in for a bit of a bulk discount, I'm gonna be dropping the stuff off to his sister's place which is near me (Fleet/Hants)

I don't personally know the quality of the work, as I haven't had anything done yet, but a friend of mine had a car bumper done, and was pleased with the result.

Cheers

Guy
