rechroming rims

i got a set of old steel rims i want rechroming

is it expensive? i will get the hubs done too. the rear is a coaster. i take it that it has to be stripped bare?

its the polishing that costs most tho, if you can mirror polish them on a bench mop first, it will drasticly reduce the price.

there is a bit of rust under the chrome plate
will that polish out?

cant i just polish them then laquer them?

no man the chrome has to off, which is basically the chroming process in reverse to strip it, then they will have to be polished so the backgroung metal has no imperfections in it as these would be magnyfied ten fold thru the new chrome.....then they get re-dipped

well the rear is a bendix coaster hub
i'd rather use that if i can

the main thing is the femco rims. i wanna sava 'em
be just right for what they are going on
