WoW!!  Prof Larry Bull!!!

http://www.bit.uwe.ac.uk/~lbull/BB.html

Nice find! And that's the trick I was talking about!

I remember reminding Larry of his first magazine picture when we were on the bus between world's venues in 86 or 87..............prize for anyone that digs that out of the archives............needless to say it was before he (and we) realised his talents ;-)

Would that be the one with him wearin'  a rather funky helmet and his bars waaaayyyy forwards? Mmmmmmm....wonder if I've got it somewhere....

marco lara  :4_17_5: proper mental,,, i rode with him in about 81 a hero in north london everyone knew marco he was doing stuff no else could or even dare to  at that time  a proper forgotten old school freestyler

No, no, no.......   Marco will never be forgotten.  Rode with him throughout  82-84.  You're right, a hero to us all.  He turned up at Rom in the late 90s on a tricked out new Ripper with his son, both riding the moguls.  He promised me he would become a regular but sadly never did  :'(

I have a photo somewhere of him doing the first ever 540 in Roms Performance Bowl.  And I do mean the first one ever   :4_17_5:

I'm amazed that no-one has mentioned one of the most amazing, ahead of his time, and now rarely mentioned riders this country has ever produced......

LARRY BULL!

Larry was ten years ahead!

He was doing forward cancan hang fives on the pedals back in 1988!!!

Anyone got any pics or stories?

i can remember larry as a regular visitor to cardiff bitd as he used to ride with mike cameron bitd. a quiet bloke but give him a bike and actions speak larger than words. i can remember when he was doing those whiplash drop ins off small walls and curbs in cardiff city centre around 1990.
very underated rider. anyone made a beyond bike yet for the museum?? now that could be like hte search for the holseshot rf-1

Also invented the Gyro. Patented it and got $1 for every Gyro sold. When you think about every budget bmx that came with one...
He recently bought a $7m house.

Ollie Matthews is now into surfing and apparently no longer rides...

Zach Shaw and Gerry Galley bumped into him.....

Ollie made a remark about still riding kids bikes...  :-\

apparently, Gerry had to be held back!!  ::)

That's a shame from someone who was very highly rated!

He was a good rider Ollie and I wouldn't have expected him to have come out with a remark like that  :idiot2:
