well here is it my Dirt Bros TA replica. Now if only I could ride like Vic Murphy.
Wonder if I should fit the brake the other side of the bridge like Eddie Roman? lol.

Was finished yesterday 7th September (so I reckon it counts), fitted a Peregrine rear and a BOA rear brake, previously had an Araya 48 and a bulldog. Alos binned the ody hammerhead bar ends.

Not a "show" bike, the idea was for it to look used but it ended up looking new with a few used parts.

Huge thanks to Dan Harris for the inspiration to do this bike, his was the first bike I have ever seen anfd thought straight away "I MUST have one". (thanks too to him for the grips and bars)

What I like about this is a lot of Radster had parts I needed. big thanks to all of you.

anyway, hope you like it.

1983 Skyway TA frame, curved brake bridge powdered (colour is "a white that I like" as advised by the guru at skyway) Thanks to the Styler for the paint job
Bully forks with 14mm dropouts and adapters to fit my tuff (can't recall who sold me these. a Radster)
(massive thanks to the chap at Ride in Cov for patiently sorting through his stuff to find me these. It might sound easy but normal new school spacers are too fat for my fork dropouts)
Skyway oldschool loose bearing plasitc hubbed tuff front wheel in green
Peregrine 48s rear rim and peregrine hub (Rim a used one off a set from Del, I rpleced the hub and built the wheel my self...if you see this being pushed around London with a collapsed wheel, you know why)
shimano 17 t freewheel
GT logo 20 x 1.75 freestyle tyres
ACS Boa rear brake (cheers Jai)
Dia compe bulldog front brake
ACS sevens levers, might change out for locking ACS or Tech 77's not sure yet.
SunnBrute bars (cheers Dan)
Jive grips (cheers Dan)
Ody placcy bar ends
GT Mallet stem, bought this as a minty black, but it's a purple one painted. Still nice, kinda like the purple showing through.
Ody Power disc with used chain ring
Ody chain ring bolts
Ody/Havok Sprocket Pocket
GT two bolt seat clamp
Ody layback
Kashimax RS seat, well used (cheers to Ian (subversion) for sorting this) (Eamon...keep your eyes off it . lol)
Shimano 1/2 DXs in blue, again well used (cheers to Gary - poolysherrif)
Ody Excaliber crank
Ody Dynatron BB
Generic headset and Tange lock nut, the only HS with a race that'd go on the forks.
Decals, Custom by Del. got some nice stickers to add today, will get new pics tonight.
Chain is just some generic chain

OK so here's my Firebird in "Freestyle build".

To complete both builds (see above) I did the following;

My original 1983 Firebird frame & forks, powder-coated white.
Original Diamond Back SR stem powder coated blue. Thanks to clowntype.
NOS EZ Bars powder coated to match f+fs. Ebay.
NOS SE Racing bars. Ebay.
New Skyway wheels. Coloredtuffs.com.
NOS UKAI wheels. Ebay.
NOS Shimano DX pedals. Thanks to PK Radman.
NOS Takagi 3 piece crank & bottom bracket. Thanks to Orangezippy.
NOS Suntour seat clamp. Ebay.
NOS GT seat post. Ebay.
NOS Shotgun 2 saddle. Ebay.
NOS 2 sets of Dia Compe 880s. Thanks to Kuwahero & Ebay.
NOS Tange MX headset. Thanks to Alans BMX.
NOS Tange headlock. Thanks to JT71.
NOS Jive grips. Ebay.
NOS Oakley B2 grips. Thanks to Kuwahero.
New Decals. Thanks to Del.
New 2 sets of pads. Thanks to Steve (Firebird).
NOS White chain of no particular make. Ebay.

The build was originally going to be done as a rider, then when I saw how much parts cost it was just going to be for show, but then I thought fcuk it, and I've raced it at Leamington, and done a 40 mile sponsored bike ride on it!

I'd like to thank all the radsters who helped me with this one & only build!

Have your rad post window and your photobucket window open together and you will see on photobucket under each photo is a list of file types. You want the one called IMG code. Click on that under the photo you want and drag it across to your rad post window. It will not show as a picture while you are writing your post but will show once you post it.  :daumenhoch:
