has anyone dyed a seat from yellow to blue ,i have a nos kashimax mongoose seat i want to change the colour of ,will this affect the mongoose gold lettering on sides of saddle  :daumenhoch:

no, the lettering should be fine

just use LOTS of salt (cue the_ruler)
2 tubs of dye (no 18 is good match)
VERY hot water

Nice one guys thanks for the advice, I think I'll dye my white GT seat blue then to match the rest of the components

Might I recommend dying it black rather than blue?

Since yellow and blue make green, I'm thinking that's what you might end up with.
I know black will work. (and black would still look good on a blue build.. and a lot better than green! Well I suppose if you try it and it goes green, you can always dye it black.)

Let us know how it turns out. Pics along the process are always fun to look at.

just building up the courage to have a go, dont want to mess it up, may look for an old yellow seat and have a practice run first :-\
