Check out the blue Rupe in the Comp III advert

It's hard to tell but it looks like that padset might match the 87 decal logos as well

Be interesting to see if you could hunt down a better pic of that padset and get steve to knock you up a set - maybe in black $:-\$
I coming round a bit now - maybe you should stick with the original decals

I know you said your version came as an f/f set only but do you have any pics of him using it and how he had his set up?
I understand your dilemna but if you keep the original decals it sounds to me that it won't be the rupe you always wanted.
Keep this one as it is, find how he had his and build that. Then get another earlier one and follow the spec sheet

I can understand why you love the 85-86 so much. I know in 87 they stopped using the pro-class powerplate which to me is a quite unique thing to mongoose. Those tioga cd's aren't quite as easy on the eye. It looks on the picture of the 87 that eric may have stuck with the power plate in white, not quite sure can you make it out?

Eric used to run Profile cranks, so that will be a white Tioga chainwheel

95% Gonna leave as it is $:-\$ .

First off gonna get the decals coppied and made up and also get a pad set made up for the bike. Then i just gotta figure out what parts im gonna fit to the bike, all ideas welcome

I would keep them as is also...!!! Where did you find that one....? Love it.

The pads were made and are out there. I have a set in black and a set in gray....I can dig them out sooner or later. No need to have them made...they come up every now and then and aren't to pricey.

LOL...you know...those black grips are one of the hardest parts to locate for a Rupe or 24" Pro Class build...!!!

Luckily I have that set on my '85 Rupe and another NOS set stashed away.
