SHOW & SHINE

We've had a bit of a change this year to the categories and increased the number of awards, so that more bikes can get the accolades they deserve!

We want this years show & shine to bring every single bike out of hiding and be the biggest collection of bikes in the world!!! So, make sure you finish off those builds and get them down to MK09!

There are lots of categories to match your builds, so get them entered.

Categories are:

VINTAGE
- Vintage Race (70's)

OLD SCHOOL
- Old School Street Bike (1980 - 1986) - Everyday bikes (Burners, Yamaha, Mongoose, Fox, etc, etc)
- Old School Race (1980 - 1986)
- Old School Freestyle (1980 - 1986)
- Old School Cruiser (1978 - 1986)
- Old School Pit Bike & Mini (1979 - 1986)

MID SCHOOL
- Mid School Race (1987 - 1997)
- Mid School Freestyle (1987 - 1997)

NEW SCHOOL RETRO
- New School Retro (1998 - 2009)

TOP AWARDS
- Old School Best in Show
- Mid School Best in Show
- Dave & Bill Best in Show
- RADBMX Team Best in Show

SHOW & SHINE REGISTRATION
Entry for the Show n Shine is £10 regardless of how many bikes you enter.

There will be some pre set times over the MK weekend to register your S&S bikes but

Cool - I'll be bringing a couple of bikes for S&S, but will probably pay on the day, or by paypla few days before, in csse I have to work at the last minute!

One thing though - why is 1987 + considered mid school? Those of us who rode through the old and mid school I think would consider 1990 - 1999 as mid school... anything 80s in my mind is still old school.

Just a discussion topic, not wanting to upset the apple cart.

I thought '97 was a bit of an early cut off for Mid as well, was thinking about putting my Sabbath in but it's done as it was towards the end of the 90's

Last year we had people complain that mid-school started in 87 (i.e. AD990 mounts, etc) - so we've fallen in line with the USA with the date definitions now.

You can't please all of the people all of the time.

We do our best.

I have here a load of apples that seem to have fallen off a cart - sory everyone !I had no idea that the Us also use this timeline, so no worries, doesnt really bother me at all. I love you Dave and co - you know that.

what are the rules on the retro bikes do they have to be "all" new school or say retro with some old school parts on?

Doesn't mean we can't have a Best New School comp on here though Crooochy baby!
