Hi people my names Rulin from london east uk..

Firsty i would like to say what a great site this is.

Iv been out of the bmx game for about 14/15 years all i done was ride ride ride back then im trying to think how i drop out of it ?....no still cant rember,

i own a c/c pro lite, im going to get the old girl back on the road with some help from all you good people on this site (i hope)

ps she was a custom built when she last road

just logged on for the first time today,
i was stopped in the street by a fellow old school bmx'er, i was riding with my kids around the block on my very own c/c prolite.
he told me about this site so here i am.

will post some pics when i get my head round how this site works.

and hope to chat to some of you guys about old times.

wow nice to know theres still some c/c out there...not see another one since about 1989,as promised heres some pic's so far of the build/restore

right ok this is when i first went in to my mums loft to find her (c/c)

ok after getting her out of the loft i sat her in some white vinager for 24hours

then wash her down with some water and f/liquid

after this i dryed her and hug her up nex day i sprayed her with a degreaser and washed back down

ive masked her up ready for paintinga,,she came up all right after her pampering..lol

iv gave her 4 layers of primer each layer had a rub down with wet and dry using hot water and f/liquid and dryed well and left each time (its all about preparation preparation oh and ....yes you guest it preparation

i have done my first layer of top today tomorow i will lighty rub down with wet and dry 2000* will keep you all posted on the build and hope you all can help with getting her back on the road

heres some other bits ive been finding on my trips round my mums

Hello and welcome mate, I only got back into this in april after 20+ years out, since then I have built 4 bikes. I thought at the time that I would just get a goose to play out on then everything went crazy and I had to have more. love it

Wicked thread.. I love Prolite CC's. Best frame ever. miss mine terribly now. One sold on fleabay for 205 quid last night
Keep us in the loop on the resto.
Amazing that stop in the street thing.. I was walking along the road (to put air in the tyres) with my resto'd 87 Haro Master and a guy stopped his car and asked if I was selling it.. he had a Master with redline flights, then a sport etc... he'll be on here soon

Nice choice of wheels at your mums too, but surely the CC will get tuffs

many years ago she had orange tuff and a full set up of tuff neck parts must find my old pic's of all my bmx's

Can not find my old handle bars any were for her ...but did find my forklifter bars for the RL2011

Easy Withy she's not built yet

been having a bit of a nightmare trying to find a nos head set to fit her iv tryed on here with no responce. the one i thought would fit dont tange 1" well the cups dont there to small..(she cryed)lol , im gagging to get her built

after the c/c ive got a 91 haro to restore, then my rl2011 (88)
dam not going to well is it lol

To be honest mate cheers for the offer but still in need of a head set if i had that and some comp 3 st or ramps i'll be compleat then could think about stickers
