ok, i picked up a gt racer today 83 bla bla....

my question is, it has freestyle bars and haro forks. The forks are chrome and look exactly like gen 1 forks. Is there a way i can tell what model they are?

also the bars look like pro performer bars in model. They are chrome, no knurling what so ever. is there an ID method?

i do not have foto's or a digital('till next month) anybody got detailed foto's and info?

please help, i am not up on freestyle bits at all.

Right here`s mine, they are original Gen 1 on the left, Gen 1 copies in the middle, and some later Master or Sport ones on the right  :daumenhoch:

The genuine ones have tapered tops on the legs where they have been through a tube bender  :daumenhoch:

good stuff Bill. Those fake one's look scarily similar, are the welds crap? is there a simple way to tell the difference?

Mattdub:
There seems to be a slight instep on the Original dropouts ?

I think it would be hard without having the the two pairs together, but the only thing that sticks out is the genuine ones have a slightly different bend on them, the copies seem a little more rounded on the bend, plus there is no taper on them either.

Oh and the dropouts are a use a little thicker steel on the originals  :daumenhoch:
