tyre pressure

Jazzchimp:
I run about 30! and I seem to be on my own! but look at my landing and I don't get close to touching the rim

RADHAB:
Andy i ride loads of street and run my tyres the same pressure for parks, street, Bones bowl anywhere reallly always keep em at 90psi or there abouts. Ran the same pressure on HP peregrine wheels from 1988-91 prior to that cant remember probably no more than 50. Street riding relies on a certain amount of speed so harder tyres, sealed bearings= more speed less effort!

andy irwin:
Thanks a lot for that  , Gonna get pumping then and give em a go at 90 psi. I think at my weight 30psi would be to soft .What do you weigh jazzchimp?. :daumenhoch:

Jazzchimp:
Not sure, I think it's 69 kilos. To be honest I do it by the old thumb on tyre technique

TwoBobRob:
Boys.....  pump 'em up!!

I run 110psi in mine front and rear, although I do let a little out when i'm riding concrete (to save my wrists a wee bit), but never lower than 90.  That said, I'm in no way light  :-[    I go 14.5 stone these days.....

I think the harsh ride is as much to do with modern stiff frames and forks and improvements in rim design.  Not to mention old age  ;D
