Is there a difference, that old db crank has been in and out of different bikes and ive never changed the cups even when ive put them in a bike that previously had a opc

ha well im glad im not the only one that doesnt seem to keep spares kicking around, good old puncture repair kits until you cant see the original rubber!!!

oh and i imagine the seatpost will be a 25.4 in that goose frame

OK, just been in the garage and I have the saddle for that bike too, albeit a bit scuffed, it's the Mongoose one it came with. Needs seatguts though......

Oh, and 25.4mm seatpost tube as suspected, but Dordy had that along with the seat guts months ago in one of his cover of darkness raids......

I'm off out now to my old mans place and his workshop as i was going to refurb the crank, but cant get the drive side off, he has a nice big vice and better tools than me so we'll get the job done and get on with making the crank look nice

btw for rim tape just use electrical tape (a quid for 6 rolls at poundland)

Good point, am still a bit overwhelmed, so not really got sensible head on, ive editted it out now

and insulation tape, great tip, didnt even think of that, nice one
