jeff spicoli:
Ok what is a good weight for a park street bike? its just that they seem a bit heavy well mine does D K Dayton 06. What should I change on this bike to make it feel less like a steam roller and dont say the 15 stone rider  ;D.

I dont mind changing the frame and forks if thats the problem.

weston:
bikes are heavy because there strong :daumenhoch: it really depend on you geometry, wtp darkness is as heavy as my old bike but feels alot lighter, so does the db joker

jeff spicoli:
yeah I worked that bit out about them being stronger but is the Dayton heavier than most or is that the norm?.

Rombloke:
you can shed a load of weight off your bike andy by changing out the wheels, tyres, and pegs.

i seem to have the heaviest bike on the planet but im sure if i switched my triple wall rim wheels, and pegs id shave 3 pound off it.....

theres also a lot of weight in the seat/post area, macneil do a combo seat/post, that is a pound lighter than my haro saddle/post.

so....in essance, seat, wheels, tyres(khedo a light tyre) you can prob shed 4 to 5 lbs

Dave

weston:
take a good sh1t before you go riding & wear minimum or no clothes, take off all jewellery & empty your pockets of money, eat no food for a couple of weeks, also go to the gym for a year & lift heavy weights, this will help with weight
