No grails for me but there only two bikes I'd really like to do maybe in the future  , opposite ends of the spectrum

A 1981/82 Ammaco sport and a JMC DY or AP

I'm with the Myth on  a big appreciation for VDC Freestylers  , pure exotica , Neil Clarks  or Juan Mattos' freestylers  in my all time  ever faves list  :smitten:

and Glen's is cool  :coolsmiley:

and Dan Harris'  ::)

Wouldn't your Grail bike/frame be dependent on what bikes you were aware of when you were a kid growing up around bmx bitd? There are some bikes I have seen on here that I never new existed now! never mind bitd? Do you think it was also where you lived? How well off you were? ??? etc etc? I grew up around Raleigh burners and like bikes? The 'rich kids' as we called them and there were only half a dozen had bikes like  PK Ripper,Quadangle,Skyway TA and the odd GT,Robinson and Curtis.......Based on this My grail was always going to be one of those? :daumenhoch:

I'd be interested to see if anybody else shares my views? or similar? ;)

I'd just like my old DP back that got nicked in the early 90s.

Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light."

Couldn't agree more bro. The Torker I have is a rep of the last bike I had back in '85/6 and the Exhibitionist is what I have always wanted. The rich boy on our estate had one and he couldn't do fook all with it and would NEVER let anybody have a go. After 28 years though, I have one  :coolsmiley:

I see what your saying about your Grail being something you had or saw as a kid mine was a Kuwahara Laserlite I knew someone who had one when we were kids and to me that bike was the business.

I built a Laserlite about 8 years ago and still have it now but since seeing a VDC Freestyler I have always fancied having one and now thats my Grail now.

Toby's Raleigh SBDU Team set up - it's mad to think this frame was made 2 miles up the road from me in Ilkeston.

Failing that my mate N13L VV picked this up last week  :shocked: one of a handful left in existance. So fooking jealous it's unreal  :LolLolLolLol: Raleigh Special Development  :4_17_5:

Which will be restored back to this..
