The original thread might have been pulled because someone thought they would use the thread for their own agenda, ended up being called out for being a bit naughty themselves and requested the thread be pulled, might be wrong  :pilky:

This whole 'flipping' thing has got silly, it appears to depend on who the member is as to how their trading activities are viewed.

This is the way I see it (depending on who it is of course)   :LolLolLolLol:

If someone buys a bike on Ebay splits it and sells the bits on the forums that's OK.

If someone bought parts from Alans 10 years ago and sells them for more than they paid that's OK.

If someone imports parts and sells them for more than they paid that is OK.

If someone someone hassles someone to sell something at a low price because that's all they can afford to pay because (insert sob story) then sells it on RAD or Ebay then that's NOT OK.

A hobby like this needs a good flow of parts to keep people interested and parts have to come from somewhere.

That's more or less the way it works in similar hobbies to this for example classic motorcycles.

.. yeah, it probably had SOME kind of pragmatic background, .... you see, that at least i can understand (alas not appreciate, of course). - i was just kinda upset that it got pulled, because i liked that thread. Partly because it contained ideas of what could be seen problematic - not so much to develop a codex. The thread showed that its actually difficult to define the problem, or set rules that could be religiously followed. So there is no really good orthodox view on this anyway - except maybe Bob_Acids take that ultimately aimed on motive or as he put it later 'decency' (imo at least). Anyway the discussion was fruitful imo in creating awareness, maybe a smoewhat shared view.  ... Whatever, this discussion will continue anyway, as long as there is smth like a 'mate's rate'.
But what actually disappointed me more than the loss of that specific discussion was the loss of a ...beautiful thread  :-[

But hey .... were RAD, and we've gone through worse ...lol

  Night you lot

What does pragmatic mean?

Not sure entirely what Fishy is on about, but pragmatic is often used to describe a practical solution to an immediate problem

Just as an example...
If a person found themselves to be lost, drunk and suffering the sudden, cruel urge to unload a couple of days' worth of digested matter caused by an insufficient dose of Immodium but with an equally insufficient supply of bog paper - a pragmatic approach might be to shit in a bush and use their undercrackers to wipe themselves

Or a sock

I have actually Bought the thread for £19.99 from the RAD SHOP ;)

All prices include postage . Please dib in thread and then PM please, PPGIFT ONLY  :daumenhoch:

I will be splitting later once I get my tools out.

I SEE THE FLIPPING HAS STARTED

I  Fairly good condition and probably the most useable part but unfortunately can not be split any further £10

SEE Mint condition as you can SEE. Not the most useable but still quite good £7

THE Bit scuffed but I am sure it could go again and a very rare part used quite often £20

FLIPPING I can not believe I am going to flip this one....Fantastic condition and could be split further if someone just wants to FLIP or PING £32.95

HAS Pretty useless and unless you are bang on the H or have a fat AS the not much good.....going cheap £3.25

STARTED Great part if you are just starting your build and need to break this down for the START part and move the ED part on as ED's are notoriously useless & unless you have a FART you want to extend its not much good £54.89

I am pretty sure Rod is right and that "someone" got caught out for not being all he is cracked up to be. I am 100% sure he would have complained and not liked being found out. I imagine enough people know who it is and what he did.  ;)

Will you split the SE from the SEE? Can use it on my ripper build
While I'm on, Jaymz mentioned something about you having a minty chrome Troxel post?
If you still have it please let me know what you want for it
