How to date a Streetbeat Frame
« on: November 08, 2015, 02:02 PM »
Got a couple of 'Nos' Streetbeats, one  is green, still has the Skyway literature stapled round the seat tube and I know is a '85,  the 2nd one I have is the Chrome/Blue/Black one and I'm fairly sure its a 87, number on rear drop out is T7120147, but that number means nothing to me.

Thinking I may move one on but want to be sure of what I'm selling. A rough 'real world' value may help aswell.

Thanks

Jo

Look on the BB pal.
Should read something like Skyway USA 10-85 which means October 85.

86/87 versions also had stickers as serials

Let me know what yours says and I'll see if I can tell you what it is.

Hi Steve,

That was my first instinct as thats where my '85 is stamped, this one doesn't have anything asides from the number on the rear dropout, it does have a sticker on the bottom of th BB but just a pain 'SKYWAY' one, gone right over and can't find any markings?

The chrome/blue/black one will be an 88 and if you have the original forks with it then you have a very nice frame and forks  :daumenhoch:

Thanks for the info guys :daumenhoch:

Always had it in my head it was a '87, but was wrong!

Why wouldn't it have a date stamp on it?
