sorry ... lol

you are right about strength, we have tried to get her to lift the bike ... balance etc ... at the mo she is just riding around we have also tried to get her to stand infront of the bike ... on her peg and push off ... we are trying the balance side of things ... she really needs ALL the basics first .... but i do not know what anything is called ...  :-[ sorry and we want to give her the right start to this... she is very eager at the mo ... and we dont want to put her off ....

she rides in the garden most nights ... which is all grass ... and slightly sloped,

thank you x x

Hi

It's all about the balance. I'd try and master just standing on the pedals and with fingers on both brakes, lean slightly to each side to stop yourself from tipping over - when you can stay still for about 20 seconds then by sitting on the seat and with the bars crossed put both feet on the front wheel and balance that way by turning the wheel slightly. From there, it is all pretty easy.

A good friend that has not ridden in over 20 years was pulling off tail whips after 2 goes.

So, balance then practice, and it all comes pretty easy.

Get your Dad to teach you how to balance on the front wheel, thats a nice early trick to learn. Do you have your own bike or are you using your dad's? or is your Dads bike too small?  :LolLolLolLol:
