O.P. Racing Resto. Pic heavy, sorry!! :P Makeover 28/7
« on: January 14, 2016, 03:18 PM »
This O.P. Racing 'expert' framest, headset & CW expert bars landed just after Xmas thanks to Matt.  It's come to join it's big brother.  :daumenhoch:

Looking a tad rough, even for a BMX tramp me, I tried the citric acid bath for the first time. Never in a million yrs did I think it would shine again like this! You know the story, if not Owen had 25 built for his race team by Brian Curtis.

Built up for now using parts I had spare, a few bits I still want to swap (grips, chain, brake blocks and plate) but hopefully got that racy survivor look nailed.  :daumenhoch:

Nice ^^^^^   :4_17_5:

Owen still has his original Pro, mine was his spare which he stickered up in the 90's with Owen's Cycles. The resto is 'expert', 18"TT compared to the 20" Pro.  :daumenhoch:

So that's 3 known, so far................  ;)

That came out of the bath a different beast altogether  :coolsmiley:

I've not tried a citrus bath yet but that certainly makes me want to (when I get something crusty enough)
