Skyway seemed quite tuff to work for, from what i can gather. Why did they sack Neil back in 1985?

I`m not sure that he got the sack, it could have been that Andy offered him a better deal to ride the Holeshot :coolsmiley:

They sacked neil cos he had his own point of view. he wanted to do things his way and use to talk to peter hawkins man to man. where as peter prefered craig as he would accept anything he said and always did what he was told. then as neil was getting radder than craig and craig was supposed to be the golden boy it was causing friction. neil wanted to push the limits of his riding and was pulling away from craig who generally played it safe in competitions.

that's true, but at the time it didn't fit in with the skyway mould, so that side of him was kept private until after he left.
