I wouldn't of expected to see the front decal like that, if it's new old school then you should have had an unmarked set. I can only tell you from my own experience that I found some miniscule silver pitting here and there but nowt else, no brown spots, no special prepping or polishing, just kept the f+f as delivered (purchased from Alans). 

Were the decals already applied?

I agree with everyone else, see if you can get an exchange or money back, if you're not happy with it, it'll be on your mind if you keep the bike. Promise ya, they're not all like that. :) (and stay with those decals...seems I'm the only one who likes em :-\)

Hi Sam -  got mine from Alans and to be honest it was a bit dull and slightly smeary ! I got the old autosol on it and it came up a treat !It was guite bad around the chain stay too !

I am a chain and decals away from finishing so wont post a picture - but as its for you I will send a pm  ;) ;) ;) ;)

sam i've had 2 myself from alans and both were mint with no marks to either the frames of stickers.
get em on the phone.
i bet he will sort it for you.
