grippers . . .

(1/3) > >>

theRuler:
do the old school freestyle tyres (comp st's?) offer the same sort of grip as a v monster or double v - that sort of newschool tyre?

i dont recall them being slippy BITD, but then i dont recall mags being wobbly either  >:(

can someone recommend a half decent OS tyre to go for?

oberonspacefruit:
comp st on the ricky, they slipped, but they are old. ive got some wwhite beat tyres im gonna try on tuesday. i seriously have my doubts that they will be as good as new tho. rubber is not the best thing and doesnt age well. fine for show bikes......

theRuler:
spose your right, about the ageing thing

plus v monsters (or an equiv) are pretty cheap.

what about those all slick tyres with no pattern?

saw a few of them on bikes at KOC this year

oberonspacefruit:
tiaga pool? i thought about them.

but at the end of the day, san has given me these white tyres, otherwise i would have bought nu skool.

im not so arsed that i have to have everything period correct on my rider.
and if it stops me bailing again im all for it.

theRuler:
i too am not too fussed about correctness

i mean, i will use old school parts where i can, but the bike needs to be rideable. that usually means NS bars brakes tyres and seat.

dont wanna be sittin on a razor blade (in yorkshire accent)
