I'm toying with the idea of a front coaster, taking the coaster arm and using it as a lever connected to the brake cable, does anyone know if this has been done?

i guess thats the basic theory behind a hub brake

I've got a pic somewhere and I also got a scanner now so when I hook the thing up and work out how to use it I'll post some pics.

unfortunatley the brake arm doesnt work like a handbrake, its purely an anchor, its the pedalling backwards that expands the brake shoes onto the inside of the hub.....

but yes, drum brakes were fitted to push bikes decades ago
