no, decided to put the caliper back on the top of the seat stays, that way I don't cane my trousers and my ankles, then discovered i'd cut the outer cable too short, put some inner cable wire through my finger in the process of trying to re-thread the cable into a new outer, toe'd in the brake shoes and now all's hunky dory,

brakes are still sh!te tho.

that v brake on the front should work ok.
if that cable keeps pulling through sack that curvy bit and just use a caliper adjuster in there. that wont slip

thats a drum brake for sure...not a coaster
