MK is fairly central ;)

Slough is just sitting there doing nothing, i'm pretty sure i could get a set of keys to the park for a weekend!
plenty of space for camping in there ;)
if it coincides with an RC meeting at the track just nextdoor it will be open anyway!

Funmonster, Wigan has gone...though there has been talk of a track being built on the same site, and Birmingham Wheels has been done up or is still being...I dunno.

Hi all

MK does have a good road network, and i've just found this -

Following extensive consultation with local skaters and the Police, the Council decided to build the £100,000 skatepark, which is one of the best skate plazas in the UK, if not the world.

NB - No ramps though  :(

Derby's pretty old school, can organize race meet, but would need to discus with council for camping, failing that its all round Dale's mum and dads house! ;D ;D ;D ;D and it's in the midlands, aptley named because it's in the middle of the country. :idiot2:

I reckon Milton Keynes is a spot on venue, its sort of middleish it has easy access from the m1.

Also the shopping centre isnt that far form the track if the chicks come along and wanna do a bit of shopping.

Its also pretty decent for street riding/skating, marble ledges gaps and drops etc etc

Any ideas on when this would take place???????

We`ed have to wait untill the racing calendar is released for next year first Andy, but it will be in the summer, possably in August.
BTW hows your head now  :LolLolLolLol:
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

later on like august time is best i think. its more likely to be warm, and may is the expected date for the sheffield track event. if you do them too near you will water down the amount of attenders.

Definately Dagenham!

We have the track, can probably camp as long as its after the footie season, and best of all we have a big hall/pavillion, and kitchen, and changing rooms with showers right next to the track!

(We will have to pay to use the pavillion, but shouldn't be too much split between everyone.)

:D

OR!!!!

Why don't we do what we were gonna do this year, and sort out Brettons!

Couple of weekends work, and the track will be in excellent nick!

Proper old school track too, with camping available, and the BIG club house for a piss up in the night!!

heh heh, didnt know that, but i was refering to the style rather than the date, i think orb was after a flat track with a single low bump on it halfway along a hundred metre stretch.....

I think the sooner we can get it all sorted the better the event is gonna be, then people have much longer to plan stuff, buy beer, build up a bike or two etc...

Seems like everyone  is putting foward the nearest  track to were they  live.  So here's  mine choice!  Derby.  I rode it the other day,  easy , very old school , on a nice park,  good camping  and near the M1.
