Finished my Street Beat.....
greentoad:
Hi
Very Nice Build.
I'm loving the levers with the Sharp covers.
Only things i'd change would be Red Tuffs a must.
Then possibly when time allows and you could find them, a red crank and red head set, chain and Sharp BB Boot.
She is looking sweet though, and makes me even think about getting one now.... ;)
dordymush:
red would look good. but the prices at the minute are daft :santa_sad:.
Tefore:
looks good matey agree with the red tuffs. i may have a set for sale soon if you
want them
boogaloo-tramp:
I wanted red tuffs for it, but I can't find any at a reasonable price. Basically, because I have been more or less made redundant, money is extremly tight at the moment, and I have had to use whatever parts I already had, like the black tuffs for example, and the seat post and clamp as well. I also think it would look better with a powerdisc (or whatever they are called) and chainwheel, rather than the tuf neck chainwheel.
My only regret with the whole bike is putting that crappy Hatta headset on, no mater how much I adjust it, it comes loose after 5 minutes riding. Rubbish. I wish I had put a beartrap one on it. Would one of those tange locknuts cure it? Are they any good?
I know it's not a very high spec bike, but there again it only stands me at around £240 all in. When funds allow I will change some bits for sure, but overall I'm pleased with the way it's turned out for the money. And it will be ridden a lot when the weather improves!
Tefore:
hey matey.
no need to explain thats a nice ride. it looks real good and considering it only cost you £240 you done well. :santa_afro:
