hi again dudes, another possibly stupid question:

does a 9t driver need a special chain, I think I read somewhere it might.

Yeah, that rings a bell with me too...
Think you might need one of the half link chains like shadown conspiracy or khe, although i think khe do a regular linked chain called the collapse or something, which is suitable for small drivers.

No dude, i run 25/9 and no probs here... although i was having chain trouble on saturday, dont buy a KHE chain

i recommend a loophole or Shadow chain.

Make sure it's a shadow v2 , as the older ones don't work on 9t.

 :) Do other chain tools work on the Shadow V2 as they advertise that "you need a Shadow tool" as others don`t work ,or is this an evil marketing ploy?

Well, you can file out a normal one, the chains too fat to go in. I broke the one I got from Alan's with the chain. I have since been recommended the "park tool" , haven't looked at them though.

seen them 1/2 link Gusset chains, fancy one of them.

iv got a gusset half link but im runnin a 14t its not even streched a bit yet n im a little fat  ::) they look nice to

well i'm very fat, and going to runa 9t, the specs for it says it's good down to an 8t

khe pro collpase runs on a 9 tooth so im told
i run a 10 rear and had no trouble with mine
