I don't know if this is a silly question or not but why do dirt jumpers have pegs. Seems a bit silly if you come off and get pegged???

ryan does do a lot of rocket variations though- need pegs for them. (check out hoffman on testimony on the big ramp- pegs on that bike too)

i guess its down to preferance and can be a hassle putting pegs on & off for whatever you are riding. i've ridden a bit of everything over the last 25 years and ran 4 pegs always. ( i have been stabbed in the arse a few times falling off though. ouch! the missus says i got a scar there from a bad fall last summer)
