was given this JMC DY........

Found it like this

Sadly its pretty rotten but will make a nice show bike.

Bottema race forks have been replaced with JMC JY forks now. The Dy forks and DY bars came off an 84' GT on eBay for £99,
complete. Kept the bars and forks and hauked everything else!

Frame is waiting to be re painted, forks and bars are lookin' bling with fresh chrome  :)

Hopefully it will be done for MK10

i bought a full bike off ebay a few years ago..

JMC darrell young, with andy patterson forks, and an odd selection of other parts, including a OPC, homemade pedals, cut down renthal bars..rattle canned white...but did have a mint original padset

gave 400 quid for it.

stripped it down, sourced some nice bits for it, inclduign some pro class wheels, some gen 1 profile box  cranks from the states with the help of radman, some Dy bars, again with the help of the ginger prince....

had it powdered silver, just to be a bit different, and built it up...its been fine tuned once with a NOS profile spider in blue to complete the cranks set.

its obvioulsy not an original colour, but i like it all the more for that... a labour of love for an iconic bike, that i made my own

Ive just been told by my father in law that the Ammaco 202 complete that has sat in his shed for the last 20 odd years (it was my brother in laws as a kid), was taken to the tip last weekend.

Gutted as I always meant to dig it out, but was buried at the back and I just couldnt be arsed.  It was complete in need of full resto, and had red aero zytecs.

If anyone lives near Rufford, it went in the metal skip at the 'recycling centre' last weekend.

A Chrome 85 Master
A Green 85 Master
A Green 86 Master

All complete

All came from the same house where they had been sat for the last 10 years. The guy I got them off had been to Shiners with a few mates (one who owned a bike shop) and they had all brought stuff to make bikes.
All 3 were built with high end NOS bits, all 3 had Blue MX1000's with tech 3s. One had original 80's plastic hubbed tuffs, one had Black Arayas and the other Blue Speedlines. All 3 had Blue haro Tyres

I only have pics of them in bits  :(

I paid that little I still feel guilty now  :D and to top it all off, the guy I got them off kept phoning me and telling me when his mates were selling theirs.

I think I had about 10 bikes through this guy, all Haros

Found this Haro F&F in a bike shop hanging on the wall a few years ago - paid a reasonable price for it and it's still one of the cheaper frames I've bought, which I suppose means I haven't found that many good bargains. It was a thrill to find nonetheless.
