So i thought i'd share my finished collection with you :daumenhoch:
I have 32 restored bikes, and 2 amazing survivors. 33 of them are Burners, and 1 is believed to be an australian rampar cruiser.
So i have a total of 34 bikes.
Been waiting for some decent weather to arrive, and this week was the perfect time to get them all out. Took me 5 hours in total to get them out, take pics and put them all away again.
I want to give my biggest thanks to Jon Abbott for doing most of my decals, as without him i couldn't have finished the bikes. Thanks to Steve (esemdesign) also for the last couple of sets of custom pads to finish my last 2 builds.
Thanks to everyone on here who has helped me - theres to many too mention.
Here we go, here some group shots. Dial up users beware-lots of pics!!
Here they are individually, starting with my holy grail, this is my favourite bike of them all, slightly customised , changed all the black bits for blue or white, but used the original parts
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/04.jpg)
I always dreamed of what the colour scheme would look reversed on the team bike when i was a kid, if you reversed the red for the blue and vice versa- some years later, i tried it.
This aero pro is based on the team banana racing bike, Beards idea this one.
Heres my mint chrome aero pro. This hasn't been rechromed, couldnt believe it when i got this bike- cost me £200 2 and a half years ago.It was a pro race, but prefer the original decals, and swapped them.
This next custom aero pro was found at the tip, it was bought by radash for £2 and it looked like this
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/aeroprobeforechroming.jpg)
So i got it from him, got it rechromed and i turned it into this. All parts are correct but are blue instead of black.
Ok, this is my second fave bike, the Pro burner, this is original spec, been rechromed - won bike of the year on here 2005
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/01.jpg)
Heres the same spec Pro burner but in red dress
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/02.jpg)
And the same in black
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/03.jpg)
Next up my mark one cro-mo burner, its been rechromed and it immaculate - another one of my faves
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/09.jpg)
Heres another custom cromo mark one
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/10.jpg)
And another
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/11.jpg)
Heres one more, always liked the orange and chrome look. I now have a NOS orange kashi aero on it, just havent re taken the pic yet
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/12.jpg)
Next up Original spec mark 2 Cro-mo, all rechromed and immaculate
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/13.jpg)
Heres another mark 2 Cromo custom
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/14.jpg)
And another- i did ride this for a while - nice bike. Original chrome and mint.
One more cro-mo mark 2 - not many of you will have seen this one. Its the 1985-86 championship model, came out the same time as the pro race aero pro's. I will put some more detailed pics up of this another time. This has been rechromed and is all original spec, except i had the rims chromed, added black spokes and chrome suzue hubs instead of alloy finish rims, chrome spokes and black suzue hubs. Big thanks to Steve for printing the pads for me
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/16.jpg)
Right onto the more basic models now, starting with the red mark one original spec
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/17.jpg)
Blue tuff burner with NOS yellow skyways original spec
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/18.jpg)
Extra burner with skyways
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/19.jpg)
This night burner mark one is a survivor original spec
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/20.jpg)
So is this supertuff mark one, but have added some NOS parts original spec
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/21.jpg)
Black and gold ultra burner mark one original spec
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/22.jpg)
Silver and blue ultra original spec
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/23.jpg)
Onto the mark 2's basic models, i've upgraded most of the mark 2's with better parts
Blue mag burner upgraded with skyways, Dia compe mx 1000's and tech 3's and other upgrades
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/24.jpg)
Black burner, with aero zytecs, dia compe mx 1000's and tech 3's and other upgrades
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/25.jpg)
White mag burner with aero zytecs, dia compe mx 1000's and other upgrades
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/26.jpg)
Chrome burner with NOS raleigh mags, dia compe mx 1000's and tech 3's and other upgrades
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/27.jpg)
Team replica with twin top bars, skyways , dia compe brakes and other upgrades
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/28.jpg)
Andy ruffell team special all original spec (except pedals)-thanks to johnnyboy for the NOS aeroyal seat and Mark (Impresiv) for the paint job
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/29.jpg)
Super burner, all original bar the kashimax aero seat and pedals. Massive thanks to Mark at impresiv finishing for the gold re-coating
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/30.jpg)
Supertuff all original except for Dia-compe MX 1000 brake calipers, again recoated by Mark, and thanks to Paul (Burnermeister) for the NOS alloy hub skyways, and Parrishpaws (Mark) for the mint NOS Aeroyal. Also has NOS pads, thanks to Hillburner for those.
I wanted a super tuff to ride, so this is my supertuff rider, same as the other one, but with original calipers, still looks a show bike and again, thanks to Mark for doing the gold coating
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/32.jpg)
This was my last build, finished last week, the mark 2 ultra, all original except the Dia compe mx 1000 calipers and the upgraded wheel hubs. Have suntour sealed hubs on them, so they are the same wheels as the aero pro. Thanks to Mark (Impresiv) for the paint job frame, forks and bars
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/y107/juliantaff/33.jpg)
And lastly the cruiser, its believed to be an Australian Rampar, so i based it look like the Pro Burner, again thanks to Steve for the pads and downtube decal.
Hope yopu enjoyed and thanks again to everyone who has helped me finish the collection
Cheers Julian :smt023

I tip my hat to you Julian my welsh friend, that is without a doubt one of the best collections worldwide. Jon western has an amazing collection of JMC's, PK radman (lee cox) has one of everything i think and some amazing bikes, Tim, one of our american cousins, has an unbeleivable collection of the earliest old school stuff, and you have the best burner collection anywhere. They look amazing lined up like that, I wonder what raleigh would think if they saw that.

Ive just been looking through these bikes, again. I am trying to build a mk1 pro buner with (for) a mate. I have had sooo much trouble getting hold of the parts for it, and here are 3 of the fookers, all perfect, in 3 colours! I am very nearly there now, and almost have all the parts, but its hard for me to see the correct grips and tyres cos I still don't have them.
Got any spares Julian?
