Its the Final Round of the 2010 Summer Series!! so come on lads get ya names down!!!!
You need a Silver BCF Membership to race at Leeds (Fearnville) and the rest of the summer series.
DO NOT TURN UP WITHOUT A BCF SILVER MEMBERSHIP. If you book online then print out your receipts etc, etc for proof
RADBMX ID, Number Plate and Weapon of OS Destruction Please.
REMEMBER!!! OS Racing is all about fun and trying to stay on the bike. So all you newbies out there who want to have a dabble then dont wait and dont worry. We're a great bunch of lads. Whatever physical condition your in or skills your lacking, you'll still be appreciated. Its all about the CRAIC!! :daumenhoch:
If any Midlands, Southern or Scottish OS Riders fancy a trip up/down to sunny Leeds (Fearnville) then you'll be more than welcome but prepare for a good ass whupping!! ;D
Full Face Helmet, Long pants and long sleeve jersey and Gloves are minimum requirements. I suggest Shin/Kneepads and Elbow pads. Body Armour wouldn't go a miss either!! ;)
Thank you!!!
PS. Dont turn up at Yeadon or any other BMX Track. Its at Fearnville ya muppets!! :idiot2:

Richie Bowkett has 283 pts and if he wins at Leeds (50 pts) then he can up his tally to 288 by dropping his 45 pts for 50 pts.
R Al has 247 pts but has only raced 5 times so any points gained at Leeds are added to his total. So if he wins at Leeds (50 pts) then his final tally will be 297 pts
If R Al has a chain snapper in the A Final and comes last (40 pts) then he will be on 287 pts.
So there you have it.
R Al will win the title if he places 6th or higher in the A Final.
Richie can only win if Richie wins at Leeds and R Al places no higher than 8th
If R Al comes 7th in the A Final and Richie comes first then it will be tied.
I dont know if there is any countback or number of races won decider for the overall title.

So all Ritchie needs to do is take R Al (and himself) out on one of the corners then :D
Stick me in the maybe section Moley - all depends on this lazy baby.

is Richie bowkett an ex professional speedway rider or just a namesake of the guy who rode for the famous Belle Vue Aces? :-\

You'll have to ask him in person!

Richie has had a long and varied career, which has included, but is not limited to, the following:
Butchery Assistant
Boxing Cornerman
Computer Programmer
Carpenter
Fairground Attendent (semi-professional)
Pianist
Accounts Clerk
Male Stripper (in a go-go bar)
Wallpaper Stripper
Debt Collector
Volleyball Coach (limited to the beach and female branch of the sport)...
not sure about the speedway though.

I only have 239 points :-\
I think as it stands I have to finish in front of Richie and no lower than 3rd

Sorry R Al my mistake. That Rooski keeps popping up everywhere!!
I think you calculations are correct.
Richie Bowkett has 283 pts and if he wins at Leeds (50 pts) then he can up his tally to 288 by dropping his 45 pts for 50 pts.
R Al has 239 pts but has only raced 5 times so any points gained at Leeds are added to his total. So if he wins at Leeds (50 pts) then his final tally will be 289 pts
So R Al needs to finish ahead of Ritchie and no lower than 3rd.
Richie can win if he places ahead of R Al
If R Al comes 4th in the A Final and Richie comes first then it will be tied.
And I still dont know if there is any countback or number of races won decider for the overall title.
I think thats right (I hope)!!

Thanks Richie, used to love watching you ride for Belle Vue Colts, the amatuer/novice/junior racing was always interesting to watch :smitten:
If i remember rightly you looked the model professional with that van with the massive picture of a speedway rider down each side which clearly wasn't you :LolLolLolLol:
Real shame you couldn't make the step up to the professional ranks tho, as i always enjoyed watchin you wobble round. :daumenhoch:
Mentioned you to a few Aces fans who are also into the BMX scene, so look out for us at Fearnville mate, we'll have our Aces jackets on with a big banner saying 'RAL is king' on it. :P

-
Yep!! T'was a crackin day!! :)
I talked to finish line ladies and they said the OS Grands at Preston was a go. If anyone wants a Show and Shine then they'll have to organise a Gazebo etc, etc.
I'll start a list for the North Region Champs soon.
If you want to race at The Scottish Chamips/Open then get your name down.
I'm going!!
Its a nice easy track. Perfect for any wobblers!!! :daumenhoch:
-
Just watched the vids - some interersting results in the early motos.
Congratulations to Richie for the series win :daumenhoch:. And top marks to RAl for making it such a close finish.
Couldn't make it myself (last minute family stuff) but I am hoping to make Bob Field Grands this weekend - anyone else doing it?
