AC/DC TRIBUTE night, with local band HIGH VOLTAGE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]
Oh yes. This will be a storming evening.
The pub has only a couple of rooms left empty - one SINGLE and one DOUBLE with a TWIN bed ... so be quick and book up dudes!

DATE - SEPTEMBER 24th - 26TH - which is a Friday to Sunday.
ITINERARY-
FRIDAY 24th SEPT -
09:30 am - we will be at the cornish Cyder Farm getting stocked up on specially discounted cider for the trip - thankyou to Rattler Cider for sorting this out for us!!
11am onwards - NEWQUAY WOODEN WAVES skatepark
http://www.skatenewquay.co.uk/
Followed in the afternoon by a ride into Newquay town - to check out the errr... sights, and have a beer on the beach.
FRIDAY NIGHT - beers at the hotel - with a spot of swimming and early beers onthe beach - maybe a BBQ ?
SATURDAY 25th SEPT 11am onwards -
We will be at PENZANCE SKATEPARK from 11am Saturday - which is at the following postcode - just opposite the Humphry Davy secondary school
TR18 2TG
Also on here

We can also then go to the mini ramp on the SEAFRONT , which has been re surfaced and is amazing to ride according to some of the Old Fools who have been there.
Then...
we will be heading to a very very Old School spot - the oldest concrete in cornwall -
PLAYING PLACE
this is a mellow old bowl, which the front brakers and pretty much all the Old Fools will have a laugh with. Dont expect the gnarlyness of Penzance, but as this is the last olf fools trip - we HAVE to go here.
postcode - TR3 6EP
http://www.skateparkpages.co.uk/cgi-bin/parkDetail.asp?ID=51
Then if there is time, we can stop off at the Truro skate Plaza, which is an ok venue but not amazing... I do think that after Playing Place, the ACDC tribute and the Rattler cider will be calling.....
but here is the info on the plaza if we do make it there...

Then...
SATURDAY NIGHT - AC/DC tribute nihgt. Mullet's out fellas!
SUNDAY - home for those who have to , and Mount HAWK indoor park for those who want to ride a bit more, as it is just up the road.
See you there -
FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK......
-
Not sure if we're gonna make this one - me & Aileen were talking about it last night. Been out of work most of this year, so money's tight, but recently got really busy, so there's a bit of spare at last!
May well phone the 'Spars and see what's left....

Just looked online and there's no rooms left! Damn! Wonder if they've got room for our tent?!

Gary, all rooms are blanket booked for us, you have to ring them & mention Old Fools to free up a room (if there are any left).
Old Fools accomodation topic (http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php'topic=107876.0)
Give them a shout - ask for Louise or Jen...
They are holding ALL the rooms for the Old FOols !
But not for ever -
so if you ring and say youre part of the Old FOols trip - they will release a room for you
if you look at their site, the hotel looks fully booked but it's just been block booked for us...
I booked ages ago & got the room you had last year.:D
Good luck, hope to see you there.
Graham.

Ah - thanks Graham - I'd forgotten about that!

I actually think that all rooms are now booked up and gone - but sure there will be spaces for folks on floors of rooms -
for those that want to be sure - I highly highly recommend ringing the Spars - and asking them for numbers of other places to stay nearby - tell them you are with the Old Fools.
The st Agnes Hotel is another place to try - not too pricey, good breakfast too! [ and only a 5 min stagger from the spars! ]
-
......I muthafookin salute you!
I'm gonna rock the shit out of this weekend. Music, riding, sleeping in the car, turning down the local village tarts. Rocknrolla!

Im probably pickin up Craig Stevens from Bristol on Thursday night on our way down. Craig aint very old, but he's the (2nd*) biggest ACDC fan in BMX. He's also probably not riding cos he just had the end of his collar bone sawn off and he's out of action for a while.
*The #1 ACDC Fan in BMX is long time Old Fools member ACDSteve

where would be a good place to ride in bristol then

There is quite a lot to ride in Bristol it has at least six concrete parks.
I would probably head to Bedminster skatepark(The Deaner) just behind Bedminster swimming pool.
I would also head towards St Georges skatepark in St Georges Park.
Hengrove skatepark is good as well. Located at Hengrove Leisure park.
Filton Bowl is also good located behind Filton Sports Centre.
There is also Horfield skatepark located at Horfield sports centre.
I would show you around but am heading down to old fools on the Thursday morning.
Hope you enjoy.
Dean
