Just wanted to say thanks for letting me on the forum, I’ve been looking around
It last night, seem some good guys tbh - with a lot of knowledge, and happy to
help one another out (which is what it’s about really)
I was looking on Alan’s Bmx a few weeks ago for some tyres
for my lad for his bike - I saw a Mongoose Californian and Diamondback silver streak
for sale, and that was me hooked again, I should know better at 46 years of age.
So I joined Facebook and got some good advice from Bob Jackson and Martin Brookes
who have been really helpful/patient with me lol (not sure Facebooks my thing)
Bob helped me get frame and forks for the Schauff Rattlesnake Freestyler and decals, which is
the bike I got from Summit Cycles when I was 10/11 (I think it was 84 so 10) so I was very happy
To get it.
I’m not sure if the chromes to far gone - if not it’s being powder coated and black the rascal goes.
Also just purchased a Mongoose Californian from Facebook that’s on its way, so I’ve been busy, once
I suss how to put pics up I will post etc, there’s been a few other good lads who helped me too so if
your on here as well thanks - and thanks to the mod who added me after Bobs pm, as for some reason
I can’t get on this forum through Facebook it’s really bizarre, thanks Stuart
Oh I’ve never built a bike before either so sorry in advance if I pester to much, as really I haven’t got a
Clue - but I’m a fast learner :-)
