Bought this few weeks ago. No plan on f/f yet. I dont know if the later decoster fork originally come with this 1979 frame, not much story about this. BTW I got another chrome deccoster fork laying around and thinking to use with this frame.
Suggestion is welcome :daumenhoch:

Hubs ???

Got to love an early Goose'y :smitten:

Hubs ???
x2 :coolsmiley:
That is a cool find - gotta love a nickel mk1 Goose, but there are some great parts on that bad-boy, espcially the bars and hubs :daumenhoch:
Forks are not DeCoaster as they are drilled for a brake caliper. They are Team forks though and hence 100% cromo so a very nice touch :smitten:
I await Bobbafett's arrival to correct me of course :2funny:

The hubs is copy. It is taiwan hubs with ACS Z rims.
Someone told me the forks is team forks too, but I really cannot find any info about it. Checked vintagemongoose.com, only found out about decoster undrilled, so I thought it is decoster with drilled.

Team forks have a smaller outside diameter and are thinner walled so lighter :daumenhoch:
De-Coaster were the same fork but un-drilled. Rare as fook. My bro has a set on his and I've never seen another set, despite owning nearly as many Mongooses as Bobbafett at some point in my life :-\

Thanks for the info!!! :daumenhoch: I will put the team fork back to the frame :) I actually got another chrome mongoose fork for it.

love the goose frame and forks and keep me in mind if you want to move it on ;)
rims will clean up a treat and re-dye well
wouldn't want to ride it like that at the mo - bunny hop will smart ;D
-
That's a nice find Ibrahim the bars don't look that pitted they should polish up nice :daumenhoch:
-
thats gonna clean up real nice :daumenhoch:
some great parts too - great find that 8)

Thanks guys,
Steve: the bars actually pitted quite bad. I already cleaned/polished it and now still thinking to powder it or build as survivor :) Just like my laserlite.

Will let you know if it happened, got to much project lately. And I dont want to keep too much racer as I am much into freestyler. We will see.
Yeah still thinking to re-dye the Z.

Very cool find that.. I'd gladly take the Team fork from you as the "other" chrome Goose fork would look much better on this :P ;)

If you got JMC fork we can trade it :P
BTW still dont think to part them atm.

I don't do JMC :yahoo_silent: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:

Team forks go with it perfect, they were an optional extra 7/8 fork that you could buy separately from mongoose to replace the 1" tange pinch fork, i would fit the undrilled decoster forks on a decoster frame
Team forks came in nickel, candy red or candy blue.
