Its on a dual carriageway so its easier coming from the North going in a southerly direction.
I would suggest going straight to M6 Junction 31 rather then getting off at Junction 30 because you have quite a few Roundabouts to negotiate.
Trust me. Its far easier from Junction 31.
M6 Junction 31 turnoff towards preston on the A59/Preston New Rd
Total about Drive: 2.5 mi – about 5 mins
First :-
1. Head west on A59/Preston New Rd
Continue to follow A59
Go through 1 roundabout 1.9 mi (straight ahead)
2. Turn left at A6/London Rd T Junction and travel for approx 0.4 miles
Keep looking to the Left. After some houses it will start going downhill it will open up and you will see a big gate (On the Left). Thats the BMX Track Entrance
If you go past a pub at the bottom of the hill on the left then you have gone too far
They moved the football pitch and put the BMX Track at the top end.
Follow the red squiggley road

Heres the track before it was built. Notice the attention to details as I drew it in with crayon!!!!

Its the last chance to race Old Skool until next year!! So come on lads get ya names down!!!!
You DO need a Silver BCF Membership to race at Preston.......SO DONT FORGET IT
RADBMX ID, Number Plate and Weapon of OS Destruction Please.
REMEMBER!!! OS Racing is all about fun and trying to stay on the bike. So all you newbies out there who want to have a dabble then dont wait and dont worry. We're a great bunch of lads. Whatever physical condition your in or skills your lacking, you'll still be appreciated. Its all about the CRAIC!! :daumenhoch:
If any Midlands, Southern or Scottish OS Riders fancy a trip up/down to sunny Preston then you'll be more than welcome but prepare for a good ass whupping!! ;D
Full Face Helmet, Long pants and long sleeve jersey and Gloves are minimum requirements. I suggest Shin/Kneepads and Elbow pads. Body Armour wouldn't go a miss either!! ;)
OS Rules!! Anyone can race OS Class so long as your riding an unmodified 16", 18", 20", 24" or 26" Frame & Fork with a centrally mounted Caliper Brake (pitbulls allowed) and a 1" threaded Fork and headset. No NS or MTB's allowed. Retro is allowed if its a 1" and caliper etc, etc, blah, blah!!
Thank you!!!
