just to let you know round 5 of our summer series is on 10th sept.this is your last chance to qualify for and end of season medal.if you hav'nt done 3 rounds by round 5 you wont get one.
tibbs cycles are supplying a lovely red haro race bike for the end of season raffle and tickets will be on sale on the 10th.our sponsors for the trophys this year are your very own RADBMX,tibbs cycles, raj stores and steve jenks track builders.i am sorting the plates at the moment and if they are anything like last years you know they will be ace.i know the o/s class has been decimated by injuries but it would be great to see all the lads at the last race of the season at least.
a questionaire will be passed out at the next race to guauge opinion on what we might do with the track next year.whether we may form a club and apply for funding to extend the track etc.so even if you hav'nt been on the track much this year but will be next,we would like to hear your veiws.
whilst up the track the other night two tossers on crossers came round making a nuisance of themselves.anyway the old bill turned up and one of them stalled his bike trying to get away.watching him desparately trying to start it while the police pulled up was hilarious.he was nicked to a massive cheer from the youths.his bike was seized and crushed.it was a 2003 yz400f.how gutted was he?jazzy.

Would have liked to seen a video of that :LolLolLolLol:
-
I'll try and be there to race on the 10th, but i may end up just watching.
It's a real shame there has been so many injuries in Old School this year because it would have been a battle royal between the top 5 or 6 riders and would have made the racing really exciting to watch.
I'm all for creating a club though that would be really good.
-
those guys on petrol powered bmx's where there the last race meet. all good for the powers the police have to remove sieze and crush all un-insured vehicles. :police: :daumenhoch: ;D
-
I'm sure you run on petrol Wolfy.... wasn't it two 2nd's at Hayes last week?
Dont know how you do it :4_17_5:
-
I feel quite guilty about not racing this year but it's out of my control. Hersden is such a great track that it deserves all the support it can get.
-
yes arron not bad for an old man eh
-
Did I mention the word "old" :LolLolLolLol:
-
Bloody hell! I thought the next round was on the 17th??? I booked me holiday so i was back for then >:(
-
I am racing (as part of my recuperation process) and the wife can sod off. ;D ;D ;D

That's a bit strong Simon. Bet your missus can't turn the PC on like mine otherwise you'd be dead meat m8. We can get away with murder on here until someone shops us to "she who must be obeyed". ;)
Humps
-
He'll be dead meat if he falls off, that's for sure.
-
humps, that £40 bike you picked up the other week.do you want to sell it as a Hersden dad was after one for his shaver.josh got his bike back.slashed tyres and knackered brakes but otherwise ok.just.
-
This meeting will hopefully be well supported, although as far as the o/s division goes we have had bad luck on the injury front.
Round 4 saw only 3 riders race but Mark, wolfy and sats put on an entertaining display.
We could get possible entries in the other groups from BADBMX and Brixton if Jason can get the bus.
Good luck to all Hersden's regular riders in the South Champs at Bournemouth this weekend, good to see more and more riders that use Hersden stepping up to the regoinal and national meets.
See you on Sep 10 , if you cant make Bournemouth.

I can only race in old school on my Cruiser as I don't have an old school ride at the moment. It won't be an advantage though as I'll only be rolling round to make up the numbers. :LolLolLolLol:
-
Thats fine Zippy, but dont race unless you are ready, we dont want you sidelined for an even longer space of time
Tk the Mic
-
I'm only coming to ride round slowly. There won't be any racing going on I assure you. :LolLolLolLol:
-
As well as the racing , next Sunday will see the start of the rider of the year vote. Any body can vote , but the nominees must have done at least three rounds up to and including round 5 on 10 Sep.
You will be asked to nominate 3 riders , rider with most votes wins. Simple!

Simple
Simon. That'll be Zippy then. Humps

We are on the A28 just outside Canterbury, turn off at a road called The Sycamores and go straight down and we on the other side of the play ground.

just a bump to get you all looking.remember radbmx have been kind enough to sponsor our series this year with end of season trophys. so a good turnout of radders would be great.also raffle tickets on sale for the end of season presentation.haro race bike up for grabs plus a few other bits and bobs i'm sure(donations welcome). to qualify for a trophy or end of season award you will have had to do 3 races by round five.no good turning up last race of the season cos you wont get one.tony informs me there are a lot of riders on 2 races so come along and qualify for your medal/trophy.cheers,justin.
-
Looking forward to Hersden this weekend, weather looks ok too.
Bandito is not going to be ready as still waiting on some washers for the cranks.
Might bring the new school down as I desperately need some track time with her... just hope I can get them both in the car.
Going to be bringing the Nephew-in-law and his Halfords special BMX for his first ever race....
See you on the gate!

Bringing a load of old school odds and sods to get rid of. on Sunday....you still want my Robinson frame Humps?
Take it easy on that wrist Zippy.....none of your Colt Seavers stunts again ;)
Glendower.....grace us with your prescence ::)
-
Kamodo, we will give you a good send off to remember us by, before you go to Oz .
Just seen this weeks Canterbury adscene featuring special interview with the one and only Wolfy, also special comments from Simon Tyrrel (will we see him race before the end of the season)
The last two rounds are shaping up to be good ones, will be good to hear from those riders on the injured list to see how you are healing up. Will Mr Rusty, Meddle , Zippy, Kdw 712 and Xtremepervert be seen before the seasons end?
Just to let you know about the rider of the year vote, anybody can vote thats present at the track for the final 2 rounds, your votes must be cast before the start of the finals on October 8.
The riders you vote for must have done at least 3 rounds before and including round 5 , this Sunday (10 Sep).
This Sundays weather looks ideal, and with no other racing in the area, we are hopeful for a decent turnout!

....you still want my Robinson frame Humps?
Thanks but no thanks. You'll see the latest addition to the Humphrey fleet on Sunday with James on it riding without clips. See you all there. Anyone want to buy Matt's Federal Foundation or his modified Haro pit-bike - he wants cash to bling his Dialled bike; buy them, worth it. Bikes will be at Hersden. Humps
-

what time will it all start ??????
-
we will be there from about 10am.

Got the all clear from the Doc on Wednesday but can't make this meet due to a 40th birthday party in Derbyshire. Will definately be at the end of season finale (first time back on a bike since June 4th !)

I'll be racing tomorrow now. it will be good to see Gary before he leaves for shores far away.

Sorry I couldn't make it, would've loved to be there. Great weather here at the moment, hope it's the same down Hersden.
Have fun.
Gary, was good to see you last weekend at Rom, enjoy Aus fella, you'll be missed.
-
Apologies from me for not being able to make it. Wanted to see Gary and wish him good luck with the future. Hope you all had a great day and all rode safe. See you in October.

Another good days racing with great weather. Only four of us in the old skool today.

Shame about the numbers, but racing was fast and furious again. Took my new school for some track time and managed to jump the doubles on the first straight and both sets on the back! Just the triples now :LolLolLolLol:
