Just won this :

Now the main reason is because of the cranks, are they old school Profiles or not ?

Could be 2nd gen. but you should try out the Riot frame Bill its a great bike, you got a great deal there.

The f/f are earmarked for an ex-member, super strong but a bit on the heavy side so I`m told :daumenhoch:

Love the frame geometry. As for the crank.. looks very tasty.
-
look the same as mine on my daily ride which are profile but with gt stamped on them so slight later ,good but i say

I was gonna have a punt on that one just for the cranks as well...nice one Bill. Glad it went to another Rad'er!

Don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but I think not generation 2.
I digitally enhanced those photos when it was first advertised for a byn of £250, I came to the conclusion that the pedals and stem were very good.
Hope you prove me wrong

Yeah I tried to zoom them up myself Dan, but they just distorted and you could not see any better :(
Not that bothered if they`re not 2nd gen because its still worth the money that I got it for, but it could have been a bargin :daumenhoch:
-
if they aren`t what you are after on cranks let us know as would look good on 90`s gt cruiser i have here ;)
-
nice bike
wicked piece of BMX history
-
fantastic bike, shame to split it.... take it to Epic and give it a good send off :daumenhoch:

It's a different generation from the one I had in the early 90s. Mine had no 990 mounts, and came without forks due to some manufacturing problem (which makes me think it was a Gen1). Seem to recall that the dropouts on the forks were welded too low, changing the geometry & meaning only ACS Boas would reach.
I think I even got a mention in Ride just for turning up at Southsea riding it.
Damn good bike, Andy B liked it when he gave it a try. Instant abubacas up his front step.
I only got rid of it because I wanted a change.

Check the brake block location on those Boas. Looks like there was some truth in what I was told.
I've seen Riots on eBay before, think the last one was from Sheffield; this one of yours seems to be the best price I've seen one go for when you consider the parts. Well done, sir.
