anyone know when these are hitting the shops?
may get one to save me carrying a washbag full of tools although i think there claims that you can build and strip a bike with it are a little stretched as it dosent look like it has the right tools for setting up brakes i.e the right size allen keys for the cable knarps and a spanner to adjust the spring tension as different brakes use different size spring cones
plus most 10mm thread axle front wheels use a 15mm socket although 17mm wheel nuts with a 10mm thread would fix this
there maybe more but thats all i can think of that may effect my bike
but it would cut my tool bag size down by atleast half

Hahahaahahaha. Do you think anyone at Animal uses brakes??
-
ive no idea, if its not s&m i dont pay much attention :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:

They are going to retail at £49.99 and should be in just before Xmas (fingers cross)...
:daumenhoch:

£49.99
ill think ill stick with a heavy washbag full of tools :LolLolLolLol:
shame as it looks good and would save weight/room in my bag but i cant justify spending £50 just to make my bag a bit lighter, thought it may have been nearer the £25-£30 mark then the g/f could have got it for me for xmas
might have a look at the dk wrench :daumenhoch:
-
I got one of those DK wrenches to save carrying round shit loads of tools, its been a waste of time, everything i took out the bag has slowly made its way back in there
More tools than a Darwen nightclub.... :D
-
lol so the dk wrench isnt really any good then? handy if you want something light to do quick repairs like a moved wheel but no good if you like to carry a full toolkit with you?

I have a DK tool. Its fine. Its not much bigger than a socket but it does a few more things too.
In my bag I also have a 5mm allen key (the DK tool allen key is a bit clumsy for doing brake blocks) and a chain tool.
Thats all I seem to need.
-
cool i may look into getting one then, just gotta decide if i can do without carrying a full toolkit with me as i know with my luck as soon as i dont have something with me ill need it :2funny: :2funny:

Yep, V1 Random Wrench for me too. Awesome...the V2 doesn't have a 19mm...
-
I have the DK V2. Awesome. I do carry some other bits, tyre levers (sorry Alex, these new fangled kevlar bead tyres seem to need them) a small set of penknife type allen keys and a small adjustable.
I only use a 17mm socket as I have 10mm front and 14mm rear but both the nuts are 17mm but it's nice to have a 15mm too.
I just checked out that Animal tool, cool, but £50?

They are in next week and the price...£59.99 gulp
