Happy new year radsters :daumenhoch:
Well I picked up the frame, forks, bars and a few bits last March11 (I did a previous post around then) but then progress or rather a loss of interest and parts stalled it's completion, that was until recently, having looked at the museum rides and BOTY, so during this week I got everything together and with daily resto and application, completed the build last night.
Most difficult item was finshing the rear brake set up from the spintech but using the net, looking at builds in the bmx museum and on here, a eureka moment occured lol! Anyway ive found my build mojo again and thoroughly enjoyed the last week.
Parts:
Mongoose Decade components as per bitd:
Frame and forks, seat post, seat clamp, dynamax seat, sakae spintech, 6 spoke oe skyways, spinner pegs, spyder, 880 front, 750 rear, i did have a set of original decals but Del the Master recreated them :)
Non spec: lavender sharp boot, Oddy barefeet, tech 77s, ame grips, kkt pedals, tioga cd, dice caps, dyno bars
Total build cost £280-£300
Colour: Lavender Blue :police: (kinda changes based upon light)

Love the colour mate ;) very nice build :daumenhoch:
-
blimey, thank you all for the kind comments/feedback guys, without sounding soft that means a lot :daumenhoch: I thought the painted sugino opc might have taken a hammering :-X
Say, its by no-means a 'minter', the rear of the dynamax has some gouges/marks that need smoothing out, the rear skyway needs another light bleaching and the paintjob isn't lacquered so can chip very easily (thus won't be ridden - shame on me lol!)
Just to respond to some questions:
gary 4130: the 750 came with the f&f when purchased last March so not sure where it came from, could possibly of been stateside as seller had been buying stuff from there (Ginnys?)
renegadedance: to be honest Giles I got lucky with a late night ebay BIN for £160 re frame/forks/bars/spintech along with some extra items when i visited the seller. He was aware of the prices/scene but wasn't really interested in making a profit and was happy to pass things on and could see I was like a kid in a sweet shop. Any other parts I'd picked up before boom time, so timing and just buying off a cool ebayer.
This was supposed to be my last build/spend, damn you Rad for being so addictive >:D
