Ok, I sold this frameset a while back only to have City Link confirm today that they've bloody lost it.
The sub-contractor who collected it, confirmed it was dropped off at Gatwick to be sent to Exeter depot but somewhere along the line its 'disappeared'.
WTF FFS how the fook can a parcel 88 x 14 x 38cm / Weight: 5.1kg just go missing??
I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt but..
if anyone spots it for sale anywhere, could you please let me know.
Many thanks, Paul.

Here's some of the emails I've had (In the order I received them):
26th June:
Just to keep you updated Gatwick have spoken to the driver who confirms
collecting the parcel and placing it on the conveyor belt to be sent to Exeter.
I am now having Exeter do searches for the goods , they have a full
description and will carry out searches today.
Will keep you updated

29th June:
Im sorry i didn't update you yesterday,
I am still waiting for the searches to be completed by the delivery depot ( Exeter )
I have also in the meantime sent the details to our lost goods department where goods are received if labels come off parcels etc etc.
I will be chasing Exeter today and would hope to have a constructive reply for you
before I finish at 6pm.
Sorry one again for not keeping you properly updated and thankyou
once again for you understanding and patience.

03rd July:
Sorry about the delay in getting back to you.
I have had replies from both depots now and also from the lost
property department.
It is not good news i'm afraid. Their is no sign of your goods.
Lost property have the details and will keep an eye on items
coming in.
I would advise you at this stage to process a claim through
Parcel2go.com for the cost of goods and service.
I am very sorry about this and can only offer my appologise
about this.
If you require further information please don't hesitate to contact me.
I will keep the case open in the hope of an appearance of the goods.

I picked City Link even though they weren't the cheapest and deliberately avoiding Yodel ::)
I only had basic insurance cover as well so I stand to be well out of pocket once I've refunded the buyer.
Not happy >:( >:(

Keep on at them Paul, make a thing of it and don't back down :2gunsfiring_v1:

Real shame, I think thats everyones nightmare, hope you get some good news through. Fingers crossed anyway!

I had a bike go walks with Yodel for 2 weeks - then it randomly turned up despite paying for next day delivery.
Keep at them Paul - I found P4D quite helpful :daumenhoch:
-
Thanks lads. I'll stay on it :daumenhoch:
-
if it`s city link it`s most probably weighed in for scrap as some bloke came round the other day in a city link van wanting metal to weigh in .they can`t get paid enough to work there so do a second job
-
I've posted out a couple of frames lately and always worry whether they will arrive or will they get damaged. But at the end of the the day you are paying for a service and you should expect the goods to be delivered on time and in the condition they left. You shouldn't even have to be concerned about delivery. Problems should be a rareity, just shows the age we live in a lot of crap service providers out there i guess.

I had a similar thing with P4D and they were not very helpful at all, Posted some lambretta parts to a guy in kent on a 48 hr with Yodel, tracked it from home to Oxford, then misrouted ,sent back to Oxford and then nothing , 5 days later put a claim in as they requested , wanted proof of collection, value and the other guy not receiving it which was done still no answers to questions I asked , forward another 2 + weeks, still not changed the tracking listing showing where it was or wasnt, and then an email saying your claim has been refused ,reason ...item delivered ..it took 4 weeks!

last time i use yodel they picked up two parcels and send them both to wrong persons and both in different country`s , boy the grief i had sorting that out . stick with ups but they aren`t perfect either
