SO this year at MK my personal challange was to build a bike on the saturday for under a ton and
race it on the sunday and make the A final.......
I met Xgoose Dan on the Saturday morning and he told me about a rough FnF he had for Joff so I
had a look and asked to borrow it before he gave it to Joff, said FnF is a PHS Duster rough, ugly and heavy as!
Next..... Dan Harris
Rusty crank, one side slightly bent, odd pedals, chain disc, grim brake, shitty stem and a BB, what you want for that...... £2 er ok :daumenhoch:
Then I start looking for wheels, found a pile of stuff near heli pas, jar saying pay what you want...... heavy as fook rear with rusty freewheel £2
Another guy had a front wheel, wanted £10, settled on a fiver and he gave me some grips FOC :daumenhoch:
Back to Dan Harris, pair of tyres....... £2 ? er ok ;D
Bars, lever and brake blocks £10, real nice bars to ride aswell, sorry dude cant remember your RAD name.
Seat post, a dude has a pile of bits FOC....... :4_17_5:
Seat clamp....... rolled up to a stall near heli pad, asked for a £1 seat clamp but he only had a £2 one, he took the £1 I offered, thanks dude. He then asked me for a £1 for a seat, thanks :4_17_5:
Tubes £4, cheers Jai
Cable and chain are the only things I had used in my tool box.

:LolLolLolLol: Quality this JT, had a few laughs over this at MK :D
To build it for £27 was a feat in itself ! to then ride it to 4th in the A final shows you just how good this frame and forks is :D
How you managed to get it to leave the ground let alone jump the doubles and survive is beyond me 8)
Good stuff John :daumenhoch:
First bike i,ve ever seen where the seatclamp is worth more than the whole bike :coolsmiley:

Then I start looking for wheels, found a pile of stuff near heli pas, jar saying pay what you want...... heavy as fook rear with rusty freewheel £2
You could have built it for £25 if you didn't put any money in the jar like most people ::)
Well done for completing the task :daumenhoch:
-
It was great watching you go through everyone's sh!t piles hunting for parts for that build John ;D
It was an amazing achievement just building it but what you did with it on the track was simply amazing mate :coolsmiley:
