I had been trying to find a Kuwahara exhibitionist for a long time without much luck when I finally found this one for sale .
Bike arrived today and i`m very happy with it. would have preferred a chrome one but they seem to be so scarce i didnt want to miss out on this one when I got the chance.
Here are a few photos. :daumenhoch:

Thanks Glen, The guy who had the bike said it came from the UK originally ,Maybe subwax ?. it was white when he got it and the first time I saw the bike it was actually white. He lives in Malaysia so it was no problem for him to pick up the rest of the parts for the bike. The stamped disc and crank also came on a few of the mid 80 `s kuwahara freestylers so there are still a few about over here ( I`m from N Ireland but work in Singapore ). He had the laser freestyle bars re chromed and the post is a standard laser post.
Its got a mint set of steel hubbed coaster tuffs and NOS comp ramp tires.
Another guy from Malaysia offered me one for £1000, just for a rusty dinged frame and forks.... I politely declined. ;D

Man that's nice 8) :daumenhoch:
Were they US made?
-
This one is 84 first generation still made in Japan, Some time in 85 there was a second generation frame released with an extra gusset at the headtube. Not sure if these were still jap made.
Maybe someone else can answer that one ?

it would't surprise me subwax has had everything in his time , yep that has to be one of the best all round kuwi exhibitionists i've seen i wouldn't change anything on it, its all good and it all looks spot on know what you mean with the chrome frame but seeing yours with the painted frame and the chrome forks i prefer it , top of the line that , you've done good on that and as you say all the other parts on it are good stuff , like the look of a 1 piece on this as well :4_17_5:

Here is another colour from a US spec bike, like a lilac / purple metallic. This is 100 % original paint . Also saw another one this colour but in very bad condition. this one is a mint survivor ;)

It was, I got offered it same week as the red one and to be honest I ended up buying both :uglystupid2:
It got posted home to the UK so I wont see it till I get home at Christmas. Insane I know but I had sold a few other bikes to get the funds .

I can't wait to see more pic's. :coolsmiley:
Did they do DC MX1000 as potts mods or is that just converted?

Frame and Fork range from $950 for a normal example to $1200 for a real nice one. Chrome is the hardest to get and one that has not been repaired around the headtube too.
The Fork on the Exhibitionist is 1" in diameter where the Fork on the Bravo (has the footstands welded on the top) is slightly thicker tubing. If you manage to find one, be sure to measure the Fork as most got swapped out to Bravo Fork as they were more readily available.
