Seriously chuffed to have landed this amazing bike from a pal of mine in the states :4_17_5:
DG ran from 1976-1981 and was started by Dan Hangsleven & Gary Harlow. DG also had some seriously good rider with the likes of Stu Thomsen, Clint Miller, Jeff Bottema and Steve Skibel.
What we have here is a 1977 DG Racer in original paint finish and decals, the bike has it's original DG bars, DG pads, wheels,crank, grips, clamp, headset and seat post. :smitten:
everything on the bike is in original unrestored finish.

Slimline Cobra Stem
DG Alloy Box Bars
Finishline Grips
Dia Compe Lever, Weinmann 1020 Brake
Seamless YFC Saddle
Yellow DG Seat Post, Schwinn Seat Clamp
Cheng Shin Tires,
Takagi MX 3 Piece Cranks 118 BCD, Takagi MX Chainring,Rat Trap Pedals, HKK Smoker chain
The wheels are the early and super rare Gen 1 Epoxy coated Araya 7B's with a Normandi front hub and schwinn rear.

It needs a repaint, Halfords do some really nice colours these days :daumenhoch:
You pretend the chain has brass links but really its just rusty get some of the 3 in 1 stuff off the market :daumenhoch:
Wheels need oven pride, some clown painted them 7b's yellow
I'd get some Ajax on them pads and give em a good scrub with a nail brush
I think if you spent around £50-£60 in Halfords on parts/paint you could end up with something really nice :angel:

It's awsome to see so many people liking this bike :4_17_5: It's not often something like this gets over to the UK as the yanks like to either keep them or send them to OZ, so it's great to be able to show it :)
