Title: Miami Vice inspired 87 GT Performer
Post by: Funkyworm on May 15, 2013, 01:44 PM
Always loved Miami Vice as a kid & here's a custom build that is as camp as Crockett & Tubb's wardrobe (but i had to do it)  & I think it's very representative of the time!!!

Been waiting on decals for a while but for different reasons they are not here so I'm not 100% positive I'm going to bother with them now as i think I will be breaking this bike soon as i'm just running out of space & have 4 other builds lined up.

Beautifully powdered frame forks bars chainring & Mallet courtesy of our own SBD ! Brakes connected the wrong way round & bars too far forward  :daumenhoch:

that's cool - real pity about the decals they would've finished it off nicely indeed.

Ive not cancelled them yet but Im just thinking that if i break the bike it might be better to leave the bike clean so that someone else can pug their own decals on it as i'm awaiting some in a custom pink / purple colour way.

Exactly what i had in mind when i did this build, a cross between (the car) & their wardrobe  I just kinda thought the fins in the seat looked like those on the engine bay & the GT  chainring represented (to me at least) the air ducts on the side of the Testarossa  & the wide bars with the white grips reminded me a little of the Ferrari's white wing mirrors :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:
