Great pic.  I couldn't work out his foot leg position when I first looked at it.  Really impressive pic  :daumenhoch:

Yeah cool pic Grant I remember that, also the holeshot comp was great other than the fact I broke my wrist in practise bailing from a can can lookback. Pretty sure Ive got some old Video footage from that holeshot too with Craig boosting into the halfpipe.

he actually slammed the 540 attempt in the half-pipe. but just the boost itself into it from the top of the 1/4  was well mental.

I rode holeshot that year.  Mike canning did his run then Craig did his or vica vers... Anyway, Mike's run was better but they gave Craig 1st place probably because the crowd's reaction to his run.
Craig, knowing that Mike's run was better, then gave the trophy to Mike,
Top bloke

Craig definitely didn't finish 1st that year.  Ron Wilkerson won it and I think Josh White got second.  He may well have finished third though.

I'm pretty sure they were.  Ron W gave me a 2hip t-shirt there.  He was pulling pedal picker drop ins and a miami hopper backwards drop in.  Surely you can't forget that!!
Mat Hoffman and Scott Freeman were also there.

It was definitely Campbell that jumped from the top of the 1/4 into the 1/2 pipe.

:LolLolLolLol:   Yeah, it was Walk of Life by Dire Straits, but I don't think he actually rode to it.  It was the soundtrack added to the video that was released.

I've got a copy of the video somewhere.  I'll try and find it.  The only problem is, I had one of the original versions of it that didn't have Hoffman on it.  The first batch for some reason missed out Hoffman's run.  They were recalled and replaced by the vid that did have his run.  For some reason (laziness I expect) I never sent my copy back to get the newer version, hence my copy is Hoffmanless.  :(

See that house in the background? I used to sit on my bike outside there, on the pavement, watching the guys ride and dream of being able to sit by the ramp where that kid is.

I was a shy kid.....  :-[
