I bought one of these back in 1987 when Halfords were knocking them out for £20, £10 off due to no-one buying them, and recently picked one up on here to build for a rider.
The Aero Reflex is a completely under-estimated Frameset and, although a little heavy, has great geometry and plenty of space in the cockpit. My only niggle is the foot standers on the chainstays but, I will get used to them again I guess ;D With great looking welds on the frame, beautiful brazed welds on the Fork, a lovely Chrome finish and, most of the parts laying around, I thought, why not :)
I have been trying to track down a single left NOS/mint Blue Tech 3 lever for the brake set but got bored of waiting and hunting so, I decided to grab a couple of NOS Chrome ones instead.
Thanks for looking :daumenhoch:

.... And I thought my Reflex was if a high spec ... Great build mate! Am currently putting together a Reflex for my lady to ride .. Won't quite be as good as this though :4_17_5:
-
Loaded to the max... looks mint. :daumenhoch:
-
It must be the highest spec reflex innnnnn thhhhhe worrrrrrld
-
Very nice!!
I've got a Reflex & I love it. Those rear standers do swipe your trainers if you don't have your feet out of the way.
-
Nice brazing on the forks*....... I wonder where they were made eh ::) :Great_Britain:
Top looking steed that Terry :smitten:
* Yep, Rickman made, identical to MRD just without the cut - outs in the drop-outs :daumenhoch:
-
Like them decals. Cool build. :coolsmiley:
-
V tidy Terry :daumenhoch:
-
I'm still not into them ... but thats the best you can ever get one to look :-)
Now get a nice Robbo frame and swap all the parts over 8) 8) 8) 8)
;D

sorry to be a party pooper but you can put lipstick on a pig...
...it's still a pig.
they have their place in bmx history, quite rightly, but adorned with those components isn't it.
just my opinion

And that you are entitled to Nick.
What I will say though, if you have never ridden one, you cannot state it is a 'PIG', unless of course you are referring to 'PIG' because you don't like the way it looks.
I personally like the way looks, and the way it feels when you ride it. As for the parts, they are just that, parts. Whether they are top end parts or cheap parts, they do their job. I just want my parts to last a little longer then the cheaper versions :daumenhoch:
-
Nice, glitzy but nice. Aside from the seat which needs to be sent to Perth WA, care of me ;) :LolLolLolLol:
-
Lovely Reflex right there! I'm a fan, scars on heels are part of the love.
